What the World Must Know!

These young boys have never tasted chocolate candy.  They have  no idea what coca is used for.  They are either slaves who work for food and shelter or for slave wages by any country's standards around the World for  $1.00 per day.

Afrikan resources are widely used and needed by Afrika and other countries. Many of Afrikan resources are unavailable to Afrikans such as oil and gas as foreign companies export oil and other natural resources, which are then imported at higher costs to Afrikans. Farmers cannot export many crops because of the restrictions imposed for the use of pesticides. Yet, American companies import and manufacture the same pesticides that are killing  Afrikans. It is said that "the estimated cost of pesticide poisoning exceeds the total amount of international aid for basic health services for the region, excluding HIV/Aids. These pesticides could cost Sub-Saharan Africa $90 billion in Illness." Reports the Guardian

However, the large foreign companies rape the land and the people keeping them in poverty; forcing them to work for food and shelter, paying little for Afrikas products contributing very little to the communities and its people.

Who are these company's?  There are many foreign companies including  China, India and European companies who keep Afrikans in slavery and the vicious cycle of poverty with their slave ethics, unjust export policies, unfair trade; and, highly exorbitant priced imports.  However, I do believe that the worst offenders are in the Country known as leaders in a free world--the USA!

All these countries claim to aid Afrikans, protect the environment, contribute to sustainable living, promote a viable economy and make technical, educational and economic advancements.
Miners killed  at  illegal mine.
These companies make billions upon millions of dollars per quarter, billions a year, yet they do not return or invest back into the townships with exception to their plush offices and buildings.  Neither do the local communities benefit from these companies depletion of  natural resources; the harms they inflect upon the Eco-system, increased erosion, barren wastelands, harms to wildlife; they contaminate the food with genetically modified seeds and chemical fertilizers; they pollute rivers and waterways;  and, they take away the peoples vitality draining them of hope!

Take a look at some of these US company's investments from the Afrikan side or should I say lack of investments:

Who are these companies? Just a very small number of the larger companies are represented by the following companies:

Kraft, Nestle,   Coca Cola, Pepsico, Heinz,  Proctor & Gamble, General Mills, Nike,  Adidas,  Kimberly Clark, Monsanto, Hines, Telecom, Yum! Brands [(Pizza Hut), (Taco Bell),  (KFC)]; General Electric, DuPont, Black Water just to  name a few.

These companies and more make million in operating profits during the quarter, 3-M $500 million, Syngenta $500 million, Cummins  $36 million, Marriott International  earned $19 million from the Middle East and Africa in 2011, 10% of the company’s net income;  SPX  an Industrial conglomerate $281 million,  American Tower  who owns more than 4000 wireless towers on the continent offering poor service to Afrikan households nets $106 million.

The Photos We Never See!

Traders from Europe, the USA, China and India illegally dump tons of e-waste on the shores of Ghana or loosen their load at sea to keep from paying duty taxes.  This is the results.
See and read more from the original article at Aljazeera

Traders from Europe, US, China and India label their containers as "Development Aid" or "Second-Hand Products", and in the end, up to 500 containers find their way, illegally, to Tema Harbor. While countries around the globe expect proper recycling, illegal dumping became a lucrative business that is destroying sea life, if not already, will soon have an effect on the fishing industry; the coast of West Afrika and the environment.

In a recent  post on Chief Nana Kweku Egyir Gyepi III Facebook Page, Rosanna Silvestro,

who is a naturalist says: “On a recent visit to Ghana, West Africa, I was shocked and saddened by the condition of the environment. In particular, a place called Nungua...where I witnessed this ugly mess on the shores of the beach.
This pile of waste washed up one morning and stayed there as people walked, exercised and played in the water, which had a rather nasty stench. A contented pig rummaged through the waste, which comprised of mostly clothing, shoes, plastic bags and many other bits and pieces which are dangerous to the safety of sea life. I was told that people dump used clothing off the shipping containers off shore as they head for Tema Port in Ghana, to avoid paying duties and other taxes. “   Rosanna Silvestro is the owner of Origins Art & Permaculture Design.

Emmanuel Nat Doku  a local Ghanian environmental activist has with his comrades stage anti GMO demonstrations in Ghana.  He says, “I have consulted environmental protection agency for advice as I organise to start waste segregation and full time recycle business to employ more youth as we sanitise and modernise our heritage…” in an attempt to promote tourism and turning  over more revenue to support other key sectors, Doku says, “to keep the vision of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah alive with more innovation from my smart and superb team…”
Ghana's e-waste Mecca at the Agbogbloshie dump-site near Accra has also created a socio-economic and environmental disaster.  Agbogbloshie is the world's biggest e-waste dump-site located close to Accra, Ghana.

Nana Kweku Egyir Gyepi III who is the Senior Divisional Chief of the Central Regional District in Cape Coast Ghana,  is not only concerned with the preservation and conservation of the environment, he has been working with other groups to improve health and economic stability in rural areas as well as small townships and communities to promote sustainable living in all of Ghana!

The Chief is currently working, with opposition and rejection of the large conglomerates such as Private Investors for Afrika (PIA).  PIA  has refused to work with community leaders to improve areas where their member companies operate insisting that they "do not work outside their group of companies" and that they are "not a charity".

Coca Cola is one of 11 members of the PIA Group

PIA is an 11-member team that consists of  Aramex, BASF, Coca Cola,  Diageo, General Electric,  Heineken, Kimberly Clark, Lafarge, Standard Bank of South Africa working as  Stanbic, Unilever (Procter & Gamble) and Yara International. The controversial Monsanto has also had a presence in Ghana as well as Afrika. Monsanto consists of Dow Chemicals, DuPont, Black Water, BASF, and Syngeta who either produces seeds, and/or pesticides. Monsanto is a multinational chemical/bioteck corporation that produces  Genetically Modified Foods (GMO) of which Bill Gates owns a sizable amount of shares.

Nana Gyepi is the founder of SUCARDIF  and has been brainstorming a program that would  initiate an incentive program that would prevent illegal dumping and provide a monetary incentive for those who recycle, as well as to initiate municipal recycling centers.  Nana is working in collaboration   with HLT Publishers to produce and publish a "Green" manual  that would be beneficial for leaders all over the Continent to implement  a plan that would help to clean up the environment, beaches and protect wild-life sites.  His goal is to shoot for a cleaner environment in the Central Region and all along the Coast to return the natural beauty of Ghana's beaches and to promote jobs and tourism.
